Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account: the email, name and Google account ID from your Google login.
• Your songs: what you type into the form (names and pronunciation, relationship, occasion, memories, topic, words to include or avoid, message, the lyrics you paste, style, mood, vocal), your rewrite requests, the lyrics and your edits, the generated audio, and gift-page messages.
• Orders and credits: which pack you bought, the amount, status, your credit balance and refund requests. Card details go straight to our payment provider, Waffo, and never reach us.
• Checks and abuse prevention: the result of content moderation, a one-way (salted) hash of your IP address for rate limits, and the result of the Cloudflare Turnstile check before a song is created.
• Usage: basic events such as pages and buttons used. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics counts visits; analytics never includes your song content.

2. What we send to AI providers

To make your song we send the content of your form, your rewrite requests, and the lyrics (including your edits) to AI service providers that write lyrics, check content and generate music: Google (Gemini) writes lyrics and checks content, Anthropic (Claude) writes lyrics when Gemini is unavailable, and Suno generates the music and vocals. We reach Claude and Suno through Kie.ai. We do not send your email address, your account ID or your IP address to them.

These providers process the content to return a result, under their own terms. Do not put anything into the form that you would not want an AI provider to process. Do not enter other people's sensitive personal details, and do not include children's personal information.

3. Why we use it

• to run your account, make your songs and show them to you;
• to check content against our Acceptable Use policy and to prevent abuse and fraud;
• to take payments, give credits and process refunds;
• to keep the Service working and to count visits, if you allow analytics.

4. Who else receives data

• Cloudflare: hosts the site, stores your songs and runs the Turnstile check.
• AI service providers: Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), Suno and Kie.ai, which write lyrics, check content and generate music, as described in section 2.
• Google: login with Google, and Google Analytics if you accept cookies.
• Waffo: payments, as merchant of record.
• We do not sell your data.

5. How long we keep it

• Free previews and songs you never unlock: the audio files are deleted 30 days after they are made.
• Unlocked songs: kept for as long as your account exists; deleting your account deletes them.
• Deleting your account (Account page, “Delete my account and data”) removes your profile, songs, forms, lyrics, audio, sessions and credit balance.
• What stays after deletion: a one-way hash of your Google account ID, so the free first song cannot be claimed twice (it contains no song content), and your order records without your profile details, which we need for accounting and refund and dispute handling.

6. Cookies

We use a login cookie so you stay signed in. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies only after you accept; you can change your choice any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer.

7. Your choices

You can edit lyrics, make a gift page private, and delete your account and data from the Account page. To ask for a copy of your data or for anything that is not on that page, email support@writemeasong.org. You must be 18 or older to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell logged-in users.
